Inside Look at The CFO Suite

Kim (Houston Director of Client Services) and her daughter are members of the National Charity League Patroness/Ticktocker (Mother/Daughter) organization.  This picture is from January 26 celebrating the 2019 Seniors during their recognition and completion of 6 years of service.

“I love this organization as it’s aim is to foster mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.  The organization honors the mother-daughter bond by together learning, growing and modeling responsibility and graciousness, empowering women with the skills and confidence to lead and inspiring a legacy of social awareness and compassion.  This has truly brought us together and grown both of us.”

Anna (Operations Manager) started a local farm co-op in 2017 for Richardson residents.  “I wanted to source local, fresh, responsibly raised, sustainably-farmed food for myself and my neighbors.”  She currently has over 300 followers in her Facebook group and works with 9 local farms to provide pastured eggs, beef, chicken and pork, Elderberry syrup, fresh produce and honey, grass fed dairy, fresh roasted coffee, and sustainably caught wild seafood.  These farms are family-run small businesses within 3 hours of the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

“One of the many reasons I started this co-op was to support LOCAL farms. I had an idea what a struggle it is to run a profitable, local/family owned farm and I wanted to help in any way I could. I had thought for many years I’d like to find a way to get locally farmed food into our neighborhood and with the help of our wonderful farmers, we’ve done it.”

If you are in the North Dallas area and would like more info on the co-op, they can email Anna at FarmCoOp@CFOSuite.com with “Richardson Farm Co-Op” in the subject line.

Dinner, drinks and dancing to follow after the show.  Feel free to email with any questions or if you are interested in sponsoring or attending the event to Sarah.Collins@CFOSuite.com.”

Jaime (Consulting Recruiting Manager) participates in RCM Senior Living’s “Dress Your Table” event at Village on the Park each year.  “I’m in charge of decorating one of the sponsored tables for the contest/event.  My table was sponsored by “4 Alarm Junk Removal” and it was so fun and rewarding to be able to participate in this creative event.  My best friends mother has Alzheimer’s and it’s hard to watch her sadness not having her mom to share her own motherhood experiences.  The properties raised a total of $100,000 to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.”

Brittany (Consulting Recruiting Manager) is a proud mother of three, her oldest, Dylan, was recently accepted as one of five Kindergartners into the Gifted & Talented program.  This program is focused on a Project Based Learning experience, with a real world connection and relevance to each student.

“We are incredibly proud of our sweet 6-year old and know this program is going to encourage him to do great things in life!  Their project this year is to design and develop a fun, safe and accessible playground for the new primary school being built in our district.  He is so excited, or maybe it’s just me, that he will be part of a team that comes up with ideas and proposals to present to our school board and superintendent.”

Lauren heads to Texas Tech in the fall to study Physical Therapy. “I am proud that I was able to instill in them the value and importance of health and fitness, having been my mission to help others as a fitness instructor and trainer for over 20 years.  My other mission is to help rescue abandoned and neglected dogs. I have been a volunteer and fostered or adopted many dogs over the years through various organizations and would highly recommend it for others.”

Sabiha (Houston Director of Advisory Services) recently joined her husband and son in a Katy 5K “fun run” to support the Katy ISD Education Foundation as part of the Bayou City Half Marathon Series.  “My intention was just to do a fast paced walk.  But then right before the start I thought, hmm, I have been working out for 4 months, wonder if I can jog?  So I went for it and ran all the way!  If you’re like me a 5K run is a challenge, ok just to run is a challenge, but with my crowds support I was not only able to support Katy ISD but also achieve a personal goal.  Never again though!”

Brett (CEO & Founder) with his son on a recent visit to the North Texas Food Bank facilities in Plano.  “I’ve been involved and a supporter of the NTFB for many years and am always impressed with their team and the work they do. They provide access to more than 190,000 meals each day for hungry children, seniors and families, 72 million meals last year alone.  This year we are once again a proud sponsor of the 2019 Taste of the Cowboys, held at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco.  For those who haven’t gone before it’s an amazing show case of all the hottest restaurants in Dallas, as well as an opportunity to see Dallas Cowboys players with proceeds providing critical funds to support the nutritional needs of the one in 4 children in North Texas who is food insecure.”
