THE CFO SUITE SPONSORS THE SECOND ANNUAL NTFB TELETHON IN PARTNERSHIP WITH WFAA

$40,000 gift will also support the annual Taste of the Cowboys event

In response to the elevated hunger needs in North Texas as the pandemic continues to impact the economy and household budgets, The CFO Suite donated $40,000 to the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB). This gift will support the Food Bank’s work to address the hunger needs that are still substantially higher than before the pandemic across its diverse 13-county service area. The gift will provide access to more than 120,000 meals for North Texans facing hunger.

Responding to this need, the North Texas Food Bank has partnered with WFAA to create Nourish North Texas, a special telethon on March 29 to help raise funds and awareness to battle food insecurity in our region. The CFO Suite is proud to be one of the first official sponsors for this event, now in its second year. The funds wil also support the company’s sponsorship of Taste of the Cowboys, the Food Bank’s annual fundraiser in partnership with the Dallas Cowboys scheduled for June 12, 2022.

“The need for food, assistance and hope for our North Texas neighbors continues to be great,” said Brett Lawson, Founder and CEO of The CFO Suite. “We are proud to once again provide support to the North Texas Food Bank as they continue to address the needs caused in part by the COVID-19 pandemic.  We hope that our gift to the NTFB will inspire others to provide Food for Today and Hope for Tomorrow via the upcoming telethon on March 29.”

The North Texas region continues to demonstrate what is possible when individuals, community organizations and corporate partners work together. Through an outpouring of generosity, increased government support, and working with a feeding network of more than 200 partner organizations, the NTFB was able to provide access to more than 125 million nutritious meals in its last fiscal year, surpassing a goal of 92 million annual meals by 2025.

“We are thankful for corporate partners like The CFO Suite that provide unwavering support of bridging the gap between hunger and help in North Texas,” said Erica Yaeger, Chief External Affairs Officer for the North Texas Food Bank. “Their gift addresses the significant hunger needs in our community and provides access to 120,000 meals to our neighbors in North Texas. We are deeply grateful for The CFO Suite’s support of the Nourish North Texas Telethon as well as our annual Dallas Cowboys event designed to increase awareness and support of our mission to build a hunger-free and healthy North Texas.”
