Commercial Metals Company, a NYSE-listed, Irving-based company that manufactures, recycles and markets steel and metal products, related materials and services, was seeking a Corporate Controller. This challenging search for a heavily demanded skill set started several months before The CFO Suite was involved, but with no success. To make the search more difficult, the company was also seeking someone who, for succession planning, had the proven leadership qualities to move into a bigger role.
CMC engaged The CFO Suite on an exclusive basis for this Corporate Controller position. After discussions with Management, we concluded that given the person chosen as Controller would be adding bench-strength to the Corporate Executive team, ultimately it was critical that their technical abilities, leadership skills and cultural fit were all aligned. Within 30 days we presented five qualified Controllers with the experience, acumen and mobility to fulfill the needs of the role. Within a short time, a finalist was chosen and hired. Prior to the initial search concluding CMC was so impressed with our process that they engaged us to also fill a Technical Director position. The CFO Suite was able to successfully fill this role with an exceptional candidate in a short time frame, as well.

PLH Group, a power line and pipeline construction company, engaged The CFO Suite find multiple executive roles. The most challenging was a VP Finance role supporting a division in need of financial leadership. Our research and recruiting efforts identified 3 qualified candidates that had all the required experience and were in the DFW market, avoiding the need for a national search. Sally Beauty made an offer to the right FP&A/Treasury leader that was accepted within 5 weeks of initiation of the search.
